An Americana/blues band heavily influenced by the sounds of Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans.

When it comes to singing about struggle and emotion, there are few genres that match the intensity of country/blues music and Dori is not afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve when writing her own songs, singing about both happiness and heartache in equal measures.

The songs are assisted in their excellence by some amazing and talented musicians, who obviously love the musical genre and deliver a professional and at times outstanding standard of musical ability.

acoustic blues with influences ranging from Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Blake to Muddy Waters, & Jimi Hendrix.

John plays a mix of traditional blues standards and his own compositions in his uniquely improvised style. He has a great rapport with the audience and likes to get everybody involved with the music.

An evening with John Carroll will take you on a journey of over a century of music and definitely leave you wanting more.

dc blues
DC Blues.jpg
york's own dc blues will give you a full-on, no holds barred experience with original material and carefully selected covers.

DC Blues don't take themselves too seriously but they play some seriously good blues (just ask them what DC means and you will get several different answers).  They've been around since 2012 under various guises before settling on the current line-up.  Between them, they have 1000's of gigs under their belts and it is clearly plain to see that they have one hell of a good time when they play.

And before you say it, yes, DC Blues did play at the 2019 festival as that is one of the perks of being the event organisers.

Nick Steed is one of the best Keys players in the business and "The Nick Steed Five" has had two No 1 hits on the UK Independent Blues Broadcasters Top 40.  They are a quality band and we're delighted that they will be headlining this years event.
