The Terraplanes Blues Band have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the UK blues scene.

Their debut album "Stepping Stones" consists of twelve original swaggering tracks that are reminiscent of the british r'n'b boom of the 60's.  it also hit #4 in the UK blues charts.

The terraplanes have a sound that's unmatched in the current era of blues music.. a sound that has seen their popularity grow massively in the last two years.

Alex Fawcett has fast become a popular and well respected member of the UK’s blues rock fraternity. Alex plays with a youthful style which echo’s the guitarist of the past, mixed with a huge modern sound and feel. Growing up playing the music of Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher and many more, he has in a short time learnt the skills and feel which make his shows something special to watch.

Possibly one of the only Blues Festivals to have its own resident band.  that is the perk when two of the band members "Paul Winn" & Ben Darwin" organise the event.

"This is what live music is all about, magic moments that you can’t get in any other musical medium. Tight band, great chemistry and just musicians having fun, what else do you need?  tremendous quality that really couldn’t be bettered for style and substance"

relatively new and we're quite possibly the first festival to have booked them.  however, in our opinion "the lonely hands band" could possibly be one of the most exciting bands emerging on the uk blues scene.  their debut single "from here to something more" blew us away and we knew we had to have them come and play for you.  you'll be able to say that you saw them for the first time in york!

Bad Bob Bates is a veteran North East England musician.

his music is full on dirty foot stompin’ blues that will have you crying in your beer with foot drums and 4 and 6 string guitars.  no backing tracks!  just a big sound experience no-one really expects.
